Solving The Problem

Selected Opportunity: There is a need for an app that can connect college students together and help mold their social and educational life together. Due to students having a fast-paced life style where changes can happen, there is a need for a way for them to see what type of clubs and being able to connect with others easily.

Product/Service: For college students, I would like to create a product where it is a social media platform blended in with school. This product will only allow members of the particular school to interact with each other. It will be available for computers and mobile. Members will have to sign in using their school credential. They will be able to see groups for their class and able to easily interact and chat with other college students in their field. They are able to see their cohorts from their class, and if everyone has the particular app, it should make communication easier.

This app will allow for people to see club times and be able to promote their organization to UF. It is not like Facebook in the sense that it also has an educational twist. It would create a way for them to see their assignments and create a calendar based on clubs and assignments rather the students having to use a third-party application such as Google Calendar. This app would also allow group members to easily communicate with each other for particular assignments and can show proof to your professor that you are collaborating as a group if shared.

I think this app will allow UF students to easily communicate with each other instead of having to message people on many other apps. It is like a consistent app where anyone can communicate with each other from the college.

  1. Hi! I think this would be AMAZING! Personally, I have found it hard to find clubs that I like or where/when the clubs meet. It's also hard with messaging too because for Facebook you need a separate app to send messages; it would be so much more convenient if everything was in one place! I can't wait to see where you take this in the next assignments! Great idea and solution.
